Vivian R. Jacobson 3/4/1951 - 8/15/2022

Vivian Ray Jacobson passed away on August 15, 2022 at Providence Hospital in Medford Oregon. Vivian was born in Rural Inglewood, California on March 4th 1951. Vivian grew up in Southern California with her parents Wallace and Carol Iverson, her older sister Linda and younger brother Wally. She and her family moved to Oregon when she was 10. They lived in Damascas, Estacada and Sandy.

Vivian moved to Central Florida in the late sixties where she met the love of her life, Jerry Jacobson in 1973. They were married November 3rd, 1973 in Lakeland Florida. When Jerry’s military duty was done in 1974 they moved back to Oregon to Jerry’s hometown of Eugene.

Vivian and Jerry had three children, Daniel, Dennis and Andrea and moved to Medford in 1976. Vivian was very active in her children’s school years particularly at Jefferson Elementary. Her love for flowers encouraged her to purchase a florist and nursery in Medford in the eighties and she became a florist. Vivian’s skill in marketing put her in the grocery sales and brokering in the nineties.

In 2000 she retired with Jerry and they moved to Prospect and built a new house. “A mothers love is the heart of a home.”

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, sister Linda Zimmer, brother Wally Iverson and grandson Kesler Jacobson.

She is survived by her husband Jerry of Prospect, her son Daniel Jacobson (Tracy) of Medford, her son Dennis Jacobson (Katie) of Medford and daughter Andrea Linn of Trail Oregon. Grandsons Charley Jacobson, Kolton Jacobson, granddaughters Kelsie Jacobson, Kara Jacobson and Heather Linn.
Flowers were her passion and was an avid reader. Contributions can be made to the Jackson County Library.
