Verna Hegler
Verna Denise Hegler went home to be with her Lord on Oct. 4, 2015. She was born in McMinnville, Oregon on June 25, 1941. She was preceded in death by her parents Newell and Opal Simmons. She leaves behind her husband of 56 years Tom Hegler, four children Ron Hegler (Brenda), Rayland Rikard, Bill Hegler and Clifford Hegler, six grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, two sisters, one brother and various nieces and nephews.
She moved to Happy Camp, CA at age 13. Then as an adult to Hayfork, CA, Medford OR, Silver Lake, OR, back to Medford and finally for the past 46 years Central Point, OR.
She worked various jobs and for the past 21 summers had manned the Halls Point lookout above Prospect. This was a job she dearly loved. She will be missed by many.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015 at the Memory Gardens Chapel, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford, OR. with a reception to follow.
