Velma was predeceased by her daughters Darla and Linda Arnold and granddaughter Ashley Bolf.
A woman of many interests, Velma enjoyed traveling, creating latch hook rugs, walking, practicing yoga, and entertaining her family. Animals were a constant source of joy and happiness in her life being exemplified through her many pets. She had a deep appreciation for the arts, frequently attending the symphony and supporting artistic endeavors. Her community involvement was highlighted by her work with Mercy Flights, where she flew as a nurse with George Milligan, and her steadfast support of the Medford Gospel Mission, which she faithfully supported since 1967. Velma also dedicated time to the Girl Scouts, guiding young girls in their development.
In her later years, Velma was known for her wisdom and her gentle reminder to all: "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything." Her legacy of kindness and service will be remembered by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Medford Gospel Mission, continuing Velma's lifelong commitment to helping others.
