Shirley moved on from this world to the next on March 17, 2023 at 87 years old. She is the eighth of 10 children, born in Forsyth, Taney County, Missouri in the middle of the Great Depression on July 26th, 1935. In her early years her family moved to northern California. Towards the end of high school she met the love of her life, Gene, marrying him on June 27, 1952.
She was a creative and talented artist, painting, making award winning original quilts and story writing (she had a few articles published in the local paper). She enjoyed genealogical research, riding her own motorcycle, camping, fishing and hiking. Shirley was a member of the Gold Hill Christian Fellowship Assemblies of God for many years and held several different positions and taught classes. She also attended the Southern Oregon Bible College.
She was loved by many and was always ready to lend a helping hand. It was her most treasured time when all her family came for the holiday meals.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Gene Rosecrans, and their 5 children, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
