Russell Jamal Garbutt

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Jamal was a rare and remarkable soul. His strength, charisma, and quiet confidence left a lasting impression on everyone who crossed his path. 

Jamal lived with purpose and strength, guided by his deep faith and devotion to God, family, and friends. His loyalty was unwavering, his presence steady, and his heart full of grace. He found joy in life’s simple moments — listening to R&B, sharing real conversation, and surrounding himself with those he loved. He had a gift for making people laugh, whether through sharp sarcasm or one of his classic pranks. Humor was one of his many ways of showing love.

Though his earthly journey has come to an end, Jamal’s light and legacy live on. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever honored.
