Maxine Alys Herzog, age 94, Medford, OR passed Monday, June 13, 2016. She was born Aug. 15, 1921 in Balfour, WA. to Dwight Elliott & Lora Rose(Collings) Stewart.
In 1941 she married Clarence E. Sutherland they later divorced. In 1951 she married Robert O'day who preceded her in 1987. In 1989 she married Edwin LeRoy Herzog who preceded in 2004. She came to the Rogue Valley from Bellingham then Ephrata, WA. where she had worked as a CPA. She worked locally for Harry & David Corp. in the early 1970's. She was active in the VFW auxiliary, the Red Hat Society and local bowling leagues. Maxine enjoyed playing Pinnacle, gardening and her little dog George.
She is survived by a daughter Loralee Capps of Central Point, OR, two grand daughters; Ginny Davis of Medford, OR and Kathy Morrison of Junction City, CA.
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded by two brothers Richard and Jerry Stewart. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Memory Gardens Chapel with reception to follow. She will be laid to rest beside Robert O'day in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
