Lynnea Ann Moorman

Lynnea Ann Moorman, 83 of Central Point, Oregon passed way Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the Rogue Valley Manor, surrounded by her loving family. They are especially grateful to the Memory Support staff who took great care of her during her final years.

She was born on June 16, 1942, in Portland, Oregon to Joseph Bayard Young and Dorothea Elynor Weedon. Soon the family grew by two younger brothers, Larry and Dale. They moved to Hood River Oregon where she attended school, graduating from Hood River High School.

Following High School Lynnea moved to Portland, attended Portland State College and worked as a secretary for Peerless Truck and Trailer. She met Richard “Dick” Moorman in Portland. They married on November 28, 1964, in Hood River. They began their life in Salem, lived in Silverton and Eugene before moving to Central Point. They had three sons, Paul, Scott and Mike.

Even as a busy homemaker, wife and mother, Lynnea tried her hand at several in-home businesses. She sold Avon, Tupperware, Amway and eventually settled into cleaning houses for several clients.

Lynnea enjoyed cooking, baking, candy making, reading, movies, puzzles, card games and was most passionate about garage sales. She was an avid collector of Holiday décor, Swarovski crystal, costume jewelry, Beanie Babies, seashells and just about anything you can think of. Keepsakes were very important to her.

She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, member of Home Extension Group, and along with her husband supported several local organizations.

She is survived by her sons, Paul (Kelly) of Spokane, WA., Scott (Stacie) of Sherwood and Mike (Melissa) of Central Point; grandchildren, Rylee, Addin (Mike & Melissa)

Blake, Haedyn, Madyson, Olivia, Cooper (Scott & Stacie), Brother Dale (Susan) Young of Hood River and many other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Dorothea Young, her husband Dick (Richard), and brother Larry Young.

Graveside Service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford, Oregon 97501. A tribute will follow at the Memorial Park Reception Café from 12:30pm to 2:00pm
