Dad walked with Jesus into Heaven on July 21st, 2021. There to greet Dad was his wife Hilda, and by her side their son Stevie. So many family and friends joined them in the celebration that Larry was home.
Dad, Lawrence Frederick Hackworth, was born August 13, 1933 in Brule, Wisconsin to Floyd and Elsie Hackworth. He was the 4th child of 13 children.
On Feb 3rd, 1952, in Medford OR, he married Hilda Sutherlin of the Applegate. They were married for almost 60 years until Mom went to Heaven in 2011.
We, "the girls", Cyndi Ash and Gwenda Tooley, survive Dad along with 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Dad served in the U.S. Army, active duty from 1956 to 1958, and then as a reservist until 1962.
As a hard working family man, Dad worked for Hunter & Best Sawmill, Timber Products, many years at Builder Supply Co., and was very proud of the work he did for Medford Fabrication.
Dad's long life, lived well, with all the ups and downs, has come to an earthly end.
No service is planned per Dad's request.
He will be laid to rest with Hilda at Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon.
A very special "thank you" to family, friends, and Bristol Hospice.
