Larry E. Hackett, 71 of Medford, Oregon passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. He was born in Ashland, Oregon to James E. and Julia L. (Springer) Hackett on November 24, 1945.
He married Karen L. Houston on May 22, 1981 in Medford, Oregon. He supported his family as a salesman and saw sharpener. Larry was a member of Medford Mountain Men and he enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, hunting and fishing.
Larry is survived by his wife, Karen L Houston Hackett; sons, Danny Kezer of Happy Camp, CA; Larry B. Hackett of Medford, OR; daughters, Joanna Santillie of Medford, OR; Pam Pratt of Indiana; Christy Sessums of Salem, OR; Tanya Johnson of Salem, OR and Kathy Kezer of Rogue River, OR; sisters, Charlene Stout and Carol Bassett of Medford, OR; brothers, Jim Hackett and Ron Hackett of Medford, OR and Arnold Hackett of Salem, OR. Nineteen Grandchildren and Sixteen, Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Julia Springer Hackett.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Rogue Valley Christian Church , 1440 S. Oakdale Avenue, Medford, OR 97501. Memorial contributions can be made in Larry's name to the Alzheimer Association.
