John Timothy Smith

Tim passed away March 12, 2016, surrounded by loved ones at his home. He was born August 16, 1945 to John and Lillie Smith in Upland, Calif. He grew up with his family in Canyonville, Ore. and graduated from Myrtle Creek High School.
After his schooling, he was employed at Roseburg Lumber before going into trucking. He then worked for Interstate Distributors Trucking Co. and lived in Medford, Ore. for many years before retiring.
Tim loved the outdoors and spent much of his retirement fishing and camping with his family and friends. He also enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, and gardening.
He is survived by his daughter, Lilly Smith; two step-children, Tony Nelson and Andrea Yaeger; his two grandchildren, Camden John Smith and Ashlee Yaeger; his siblings, Jessie Smith, Donna Ruble, Judy Owens, Betty Schulz, Lonnie Smith, Janice Vickere, and Janet Morris.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Smith, whom he married September 9, 1995; his mother, Lillie Smith; and his father, John Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2016 at Memory Gardens, 1395
