John Eugene Chastain

John Eugene Chastain, age 88, of Medford, OR passed Tuesday, May 31, 2016. He was born June 25, 1927 in Bristow, OK to Charles and Cora Lee (Dickson) Chastain. John came to the Rogue Valley in 1945 from Oklahoma. He married Arlene Lois Werner who preceded him. He had worked first for Rogue Disposal Co. and later in local sawmills. He enjoyed coin collecting.

Survivors include four children; daughter: Linda (Rod) Smith of Central Point; son Randy(Debbie) Chastain of Klamath Falls; daughters: Lois (Allen) Payne of Central Point, , Kelly (Ward) Bishop of Soldotna, AK:
ten grandchildren; nineteen, great grandchildren; two brothers: Bob McCullough of Ceres, CA and Chuck Chastain of Oklahoma. He was preceded by his parents; wife, Arlene; sisters, Pauline and Rosalee; and granddaughter Jaidan.

Memorial services will be 11:00am, Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Memory Gardens Memorial Park & Mortuary in care of arrangements.
