Harry Podlech, 78, of Medford, Ore. passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015. Harry was born June 16, 1936 in Posilge, East Prussia, Germany to Josef and Helen Podlech.
Harry worked for Harry & David Corporation for 17 years from 1977 to 1994. He also served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1961. He enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas for gambling and buffets, dancing, being part of the Benefit Social Club and camping. He loved his family and friends, good food, and living life.
He is survived by his only daughter and son-in-law, Jeff and Heidi Laird of Springfield, Ore.; his two grandchildren, Avery, 11 and Owen, 8; his brother, Manfred Podlech of Neptune City, N.J., and his special lady friend, Rose Nelson of Central Point, Ore.
