Helen lived most of her life in Peoria, Ill. In her younger years, she enjoyed tennis, sailing, and gardening, and directed the choir for many years at her church in Peoria.
Helen was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville and loved singing in the choir. She married Robert M. Evans on October 10, 1953, in New York.
She is survived by her two children, Lynn Reordan of Jacksonville, Ore. and Bruce Evans of Temecula, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
She is remembered as beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who exhibited the Lord's love and faithfulness to her family and friends. Of all the things she enjoyed doing, being with her family was the most important.
Interment will take place at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2015 at Memory Gardens in Medford, Ore. A memorial service will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville. All are welcome to both services.
