Gene Sawyer, 78 of Eagle Point, Ore. passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Eagle Point, Ore. He was born in Lee Creek, Ark on July 10, 1936 to Jack and Cora Sawyer.
The Sawyer family moved to the Upper Rogue area 63 years ago. Gene drove log trucks and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He was a member of the Eagles.
Gene is survived by son, Jerry (Cathy) Sawyer of Eagle Point, Ore.; daughters, Teri Sawyer of Shady Cove, Ore.; Nola (Randy) Neely of Shady Cove, Ore.; grandchildren, Scott and Chris Sawyer and Bradford and Leslie Snodgrass. Three great-grandsons, Izaiah, Treyton and Dillon.
