Donald E. Traeger, 82 of Medford, Ore. passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at his home. He was born on November 14, 1931 in Hastings, Neb. to Carl and Leora Traeger.
Donald joined the US Navy and is a veteran of the Korean War. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1970 from Kenesaw, Neb. He and Jan married on June 10, 1972 in Medford, Ore. He worked as a mechanic in the valley for many years. Donald enjoyed camping and flying (he has been a pilot since he was 16). He was a member of Harvest Baptist Temple and CAP.
Donald is survived by his wife, Jan; sons, Richard of Medford, Ore., Mike of Lebenon, Ore., Dan of Birmingham, Ala., Brad of Central Point, Ore., Steve of Palmer, Alaska, and David of Medford, Ore.; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Harvest Baptist Temple, 2001 South Columbia, Medford, Ore. Pastor Bob Gass will officiate.
