Donald Edwin Choate

Donald E. Choate, 73, of Eagle Point, OR passed Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at his home. He was born Sept. 26, 1943 in Artesia, Ca. to Thomas Edward Lee Choate and Dorothy Jean Parks. In 1990 he married Mollie Elaine Choate who survives. Don and Mollie came here from San Jose, CA. 15 years ago. He enjoyed scuba diving, cooking, movies, reading and liked to fix about anything.
He retired from PG&E after 22 years. He then owned and operated an equipment rental business in Olympia, WA., then finished working as a system designer in the HVAC industry.
Survivors include his wife Mollie, daughter Lesa Kathleen Brown of DuPont, WA, two sisters; Donna Jean(Bob) Hall of Olympia, WA and Diana Yeomans of Bakersfield, CA, three grandchildren; Ashley, Morgan and Ryan Brown and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Michael and Cheri Rose Schlosser and James, Jeffrey, Eric and Elisabeth Rose whom Don and Mollie considered part of their family in all ways. He was preceded by his parents and a son Donald Lee Choate. Memorial contributions can be made to Asante Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Eagle Point Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints. Viewing will be at 10:00AM. He will be laid to rest in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford, OR.
