Dean Ralston Welch

Dean R. Welch, 74, of Medford, OR passed Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Providence Medford Medical Center. He was born Feb. 3, 1941 in Clay Center, KS to Dean LeRoy & Mary Francelia(Ralston) Welch.
Dean came to the Rogue Valley when just a child. He graduated from Medford High School, attended SOC then art school in San Francisco, CA. He worked for Piggly Wiggly in White City then Quality Market for many years. In 1973 he married Linda Mae Welch who survives. Dean was quite artistic and enjoyed water color painting and cardboard and paper crafts and rockhounding. He had served in the Army Reserves.
Survivors include his 1st wife Pat Kempf of Billings, MT, present wife Linda M. Welch, two children; son Dean O. Welch of Gillette, WY and daughter Angie Welch Sharbono of Laurel, MT., stepson Scott Tollefson of Medford, OR, five grandchildren; Kristen, Jacob, Madison, Delaney and Levi, two great grandchildren; Olive and Ivan. Memorial services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Memory Gardens Chapel, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford.
