Barbara Ellen Cranston

May 7, 1931 — October 25, 2021

Barbara E Cranston, 90, of Mountain Top, PA, passed away October 25th, 2021. Born in Muncie, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Donald L and Annabelle Spohn Fairchild and was a graduate of Muncie High School. She moved to San Diego, California after graduation and there she made her choice to follow Jesus and continued her walk with God all the days of her life. She moved to Oregon in 1964 and later met and married her beloved Lou Cranston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lou Cranston, sons, Larry Drue Higginson, Bobby Wayne Higginson, and sister, Donna Bruster. Barbara is survived by her daughter Nola (Charles) Bowser of Wetumpka, AL., grandchildren Barbra (Granden) Ledyard of Gibbstown, NJ., Michael (Julie) Pounders of Forest Ranch, CA., and 5 great grandchildren, Granden, Sara, Renee, Sebastian, and Orion: brother Thomas Fairchild, and two step grandchildren, Timothy Bowser and Scott Bowser.

Barbara loved her time spent reading her Bible and having fellowship with her brothers and sisters in Christ. She loved singing hymns and playing hymns on her organ and piano. She was a music teacher in the Rogue Valley for many years and enjoyed time with all her students. After the passing of her husband, she relocated to New Mexico and then to Pennsylvania to be with her daughter and family.
