    Douglas Clement Devine

    April 17, 1946 - February 15, 2022

Douglas Clement Devine passed away on February 15th, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born in Gardner, Massachusetts, on April 17th, 1946. After finishing high school in New Tripoli, Pennsylvania, he served in the US Navy. He and his family relocated to Jackson County in 1974. In 1985 he established his pride and joy; Pacific Survey Supply. Doug was a man that had many escapades under his belt and loved to share his stories. In late 2000 he aided in scanning a well-known submarine that played a key part in the American Civil War, famously known as the H.L. Hunley. Doug was also a Sasquatch advocate; he even appeared on National Geographic to express his passion to the world. He is predeceased by his cherished wife Ratiba (Tina) and his parents, David H. Devine and Dorothy M. Hingste (nee Clement). He is survived by his loving daughter Donna Devine and grandchildren Corbin Kime (Becca) and Shadna Devine (Mason), both in Medford, step-daughter Helen Abrams (Harry) Lake Worth, FL, a sister Dori Sullivan, Ocala, FL, and half brother Don Devine, Beaverton, OR, a favored niece, Lisa Swift, Chesterfield, MO as well as cousins David Devine (Abidah) Vancouver, WA and Janet Mark, Acworth, GA. Doug was fearless, stubborn, and innovative. He made an impact on the community and in the hearts of those around him. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by his friends and family. A Celebration Of Life will be held at a later date. “Energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be changed from one form to another.” (Albert Einstein).
